Linda English Weeks was born in Oklahoma City to Clarence and Patty Wallace. Her grandmother, Susie Alice Goins Wallace, was an original Chickasaw enrollee. She is the great granddaughter of original enrollee Susan Thomas Goins and the great-great granddaughter of Chickasaws Robert and Caroline Thomas.
Linda’s family, including her grandmother (second from right) who was an original enrollee, grandfather, father, aunts and uncles, pose for a photo, circa 1946.
Linda is proud of her heritage and understands the Chickasaw characteristics of hard work and perseverance. She is passionate about young people reaching their full potential, and encourages those she knows to be active in their communities. She has followed the example of her ancestors, who donated the land where Goins School was built in McClain County, Oklahoma, and has established the Linda English Weeks Scholarship for Chickasaw law students.
She understands the importance of public service and is excited about giving back to her tribe.
Linda is married to retired United States Marshal Charles T. Weeks, II. They have three grown children, John English, Evan Jayne English, and Courtney Risley, and four granddaughters, Mason, Bowen, Everett and Saylor.
“Thank you for allowing me to serve the Chickasaw Nation as Supreme Court Justice. It has been a privilege and honor. I always strive to do my part to protect our rights as a sovereign nation, uphold the constitution of the Chickasaw Nation, preserve our laws, and deliver fair decisions on any matters before our court. I would like to ask for your continued support, and for your vote for Chickasaw Nation Supreme Court.”
