A letter from Linda English Weeks to her fellow Chickasaws:
Chokma!
It is with great excitement that I announce that I am running for re-Election for the Chickasaw Nation Supreme Court, Seat 2. Serving as Supreme Court Justice has allowed me to blend my love of the law with my passion for my heritage.
I believe it is our duty to protect And defend our rights as a sovereign nation, and I have worked hard to uphold the Constitution that our ancestors fought to establish. We must do what it takes to preserve our tribal laws while honoring our heritage, and I will continue to do so with my promise to deliver fair decisions in and efficient manner.
My grandmother, Susie Goins Wallace, who was an original enrollee, lived a life of service to others and, by example, taught her children and grandchildren to do the same. I aspire to follow in her footsteps and serve the people of the Chickasaw Nation by working hard in the Supreme Court. I appreciate your support in my effort, and humbly ask for your vote!
